F1 Car for Sale – 2002 Jordan EJ12 Suzuka Legend. EJ12
From the listing for this 2002 Jordan EJ12 Suzuka Legend. F1 car for sale:
Jordan EJ12 chassis no.1 was sold by the factory as a rolling chassis in 2004. It is almost impossible to acquire the Honda RA002E V10 so for ease and reasonable running costs we have fitted a Judd KV8 F3000 with a Lola/Hewland 5 speed paddle shift pneumatic gearbox controlled by Geartronics GCU system with the latest shift upgrade. The car runs and drives superbly as it stands it is set up for demonstrations there are many events that the car and a new owner would be welcome to attend.
Chassis one was the first car of 2002 and was driven at Silverstone for pre season testing by Takuma Sato and then in February was flown to Brussels for the Team and press launch of Jordan to the public for the 2002 Formula one season.
The car comes complete with all the necessary running gear, pre-heater, batteries, fuel feeder, hi and low lift jacks, spares, extra wheels and new Michelin tyres, tyre warmers, original team wear, too much to list ! This is an iconic piece of British F1 and the last EJ12 running in the world!
From Owner driver:
EJ12 was the design of Egbul Hamidy the production cost of each car was approximately £4.5 million, the chassis was a full carbon fibre composite monocoque, composite pushrods activating chassis mounted penski dampers and torsion bars a beautifully engineered feature. Also unequal length aerodynamic wishbones. Front track – 1500mm, rear track – 1418 mm, overall height 950mm with an overall length of 4600mm the wheels are forged OZ Racing to Jordan GP specification, the car has a total fuel capacity of just over 95kgs. EJ12 is fitted with carbon fibre discs front and rear ( all new ) and Brembo brake calipers. EJ12 all in all is a superb and very driver friendly Formula one car.
